About Us
Embracing Our Past, Empowering Rwanda's Future.
The name "Our Past" derives its inspiration from our core message aimed at Rwanda's
generation, urging them to learn about the history of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi
Recognizing that a significant portion of us was born after the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi or were too young to comprehend it at the time, we place great emphasis on comprehending Rwanda's
historical journey and respecting the memories of the past. By doing so, we envision a resilient future for Rwanda and the broader region.
Over the past eleven years, spanning from April 2012 to April 2022. Our Past has been actively
organizing events coinciding with the commemoration week of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi.

• Promote youth interaction through cultural activities, workshops on Rwandan history and education on positive citizenship.
• Provide support to vulnerable people and those in need through social solidarity assistance and aid collection campaigns.
• Promote youth entrepreneurship among young people in disadvantaged conditions.
