The name, Our Past Initiative, 'help us to understand our past' is inspired by our message to Rwanda's young generation encouraging them to learn about the history of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi. We believe that since most of us were born after the 1994 Genocide, it is important to learn about our country's past and work together for a better future. Our Past Initiative is committed to engaging with youth through education, advocacy, and community-building initiatives. We believe that by learning from our past, we can build a brighter future for all Rwandans.
